HSA Limits Changed for 2018
IMPORTANT!!!!
If you contribute to a Health Savings Account (HSA) you’ll want to take note – the new 2018 limit has been reduced to $6,850.
The IRS had previously announced that the family limit for contributions in 2018 was $6,900. However, with the passage of the new tax law, the index used to scale various limits (like the HSA limit) was changed from the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers to a more conservative index, the Chained Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers. The result – less volatility in the index, and a lower contribution index.
The individual contribution limit for 2018 remains unchanged at $3,450.
